Notice of Annual General Meeting - 19th September 2023
All members of the corporation are advised that the Annual General Meeting of the Townsville Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Corporation of Health Services will take place as follow
Date : Tuesday 19th September 2023
Time - 6:00pm
Address - TAIHS Medical, 57-59 Gordon Street, Garbutt, QLD, 4814
Please note this AGM was adjourned due to lack of a quorum on the 16th & 23rd January 2023; 18th July 2023 and 5th September 2023
Plesase Note * If no quorum, the AGM 2021/2022 will be cancelled.
There will be three (3) Board of Director positions up for nomination.
On arrival all members will need to sign in & ensure their listed address is the correct postal address for all members correspondence

Nomination for Board of Director
TAIHS invites eligible candidates to nominate for a vacant Board of Director position.
Members cannot appoint a proxy to attend the AGM in their place with a voting right (Rule Book 4.12)

Your nomination will be considered by Members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2022 to be held on Tuesday 19th September 2023.
A member is required to be present at this meeting to speak on behalf of your nomination if you are unavoidably absent, and unable to do so yourself.

Purpose of the Meeting
Due to no quorum at the previous Special General Meeting held on the 5th September 2023.
This meeting has been called to put forward Members request to hold a special general meeting of the corporation to consider the resolutions listed below.

Special Resolutions put forward by Members : 2.1 Proposed Resolution 1 : That a vote of no-confidence in the Board be held under rule 5.10.1 of the corporation's rule book, and ALL current corporation (ICN 7681) board directors be removed as a board director of the Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health Services 2.2 Proposed Resolution 2 : That if resolution is passed, that an election be held on the same day of the general meeting to appoint seven (7) new Board directors |
